    Can anyone help, i was adding a new repo when i discovered i had lost all sources and now when i add them they done save and just disappear

    go to var/lib/apt/lists and delete all files except the folder "partial", run Cydia again and you'll get the list back.

    I did the same thing
    what u said sounds like command line language? / var ... Etc
    where do i put that line at? In cydia?
    Do I change settings in cydia?

    Not command line, just the file path you need. SSH to that file path given and delete everything except the partial folder.

    If you haven't already downloaded ssh or ifile from cydia, then it looks like a restore!!

    Dang I was afraid u were goin to say that..
    About how long would that take?

    Also I should add, that I was trying to add a source, and that's when all the pop ups saying "cannot reach host", "no header" etc.. So is my problem still the same? Will adding the windows SSH program be necessary now?

    Ok I tried adding a source "iapplications.ru" and it stared downloading data then a series of popups came up saying "no header" basically saying it can't find wut I was looking for..
    Then all my sources disappeared and I closed cydia but still no sources and I rebooted no good......
    What's ur thots??

    what jailbreak method did you use? If blackra1n, you can delete Cydia and re-install it.

    I try to add http//repo.beyouriphone.com to cydia source. It take so long but still not success, then I exit , suddenly the source is empty , Please kindly help me thz

    Default Cydia sources disappeared
    Do you need open SSH for this? I'm not a techie so not sure what the below means. My cydia sources disappeared. Not really sure what to do? Is this something you can help me with?
