go to var/lib/apt/lists and delete all files except the folder "partial", run Cydia again and you'll get the list back.

I did the same thing
what u said sounds like command line language? / var ... Etc
where do i put that line at? In cydia?
Do I change settings in cydia?

Not command line, just the file path you need. SSH to that file path given and delete everything except the partial folder.

Dang I was afraid u were goin to say that..
About how long would that take?
Also I should add, that I was trying to add a source, and that's when all the pop ups saying "cannot reach host", "no header" etc.. So is my problem still the same? Will adding the windows SSH program be necessary now?

Then all my sources disappeared and I closed cydia but still no sources and I rebooted no good......

what jailbreak method did you use? If blackra1n, you can delete Cydia and re-install it.
