    Default Blacksw0w question

    If i have a regular AT&T plan, not an iphone plan, with internet from AT&T. If i unlock and jailbreak with blacksn0w will I be able to still have my internet through AT&T and use my iphone just without having to have an iphone plan?? thanks!

    You can do that. But be aware. AT&T can tell that you are using an iPhone and will send you text messages telling you that you NEED an iPhone data plan. And yes, they can charge you for it if you dont have it. It's in the fine print that you didn't read when you got your AT&T plan.

    Dude, there have been stories of people getting HUGE bills and then getting out of it by going the whole I"m gonna leave to Metro PCS of T-Mobile.

    It's up to you as far as your own personal risk tolerance. Pay the $30.00 monthly nut vs. getting slammed with a bigger bill for the data usage. It happens. My wife got dinged on her bill for an extra $12.00 charge for a weather update. We are talking VERY minimal data usage. I got them to take it off because as far as they know she uses a different phone. They can check the IMEI number and tell what type of phone you use. When I called customer care on her phone I put the sim into the ericsson phone and they thought it was an error.

    Either way...it's on you.
