Keyboard Fails To Respond - Need Expert Opninon

Certain keys on my keyboard fail to respond on a couple of apps, like, crossword and writeroom. I'm running 3.0.1. How can I fix this?

I had a simmilar issue. But it was with any app, not just select ones. Turned out the flex cable attatching the digitizer was loose inside the phone. Don't take it appart if you don't know what you're doing though, find someone who's done it before.

I don't think it's a hardware issue because 3 days ago before I restored my phone, I didn't have this problem. It was only after I restored my phone did I experience this issue. I'd also deleted language pack files to make my phone run faster. Could this be the problem?
