iTunes.app not working on iPhone

Recently, my iTunes application on my iPhone 3G[S], running firmware 3.1.2, has had a very strange glitch. It is loading the content, but only displaying the arrows next to the content, grouped very closely together, as shown in the screenshot below. Anyone know how to fix this?

I think it's a glitch on the itunes server, because mine does the same thing. but the app still seems to be working fine ...

I hve this same problem. It worked for a while, but now iTunes no longer displays correctly.

I have never gotten it to work period. I get the busy circle when I launch it but nothing ever loads to the screen.

I went into safe-mode and tbis fixed it.

Would it be possible for you to post a list of your installed apps? If you run the command

 dpkg -l | grep ^ii | awk '{print $2}' > /private/var/mobile/Media/installed.txt

it will create a text file with a list of your installed packages, which you can then transfer to your computer with ssh. If you post this list and someone without this issue posts a list of their packages, we can try to cross-compare and determine what is causing the issue.

Yep, if you download WinSCP, and ssh in, you can run a command from the program. You can also use PUTTY to connect and run commands remotely. I'll check the command when I get home to see if there are any typos.

Sorry for the delay, the command is typo free, I just ran it. I'd recommend starting a ssh session and running the command remotely, so there is no chance of error. If you need further help with remotely connecting, just let me know.

I'm having the same problem. It happened shortly aftr I fixed the rock app memory glitch iTunes not working properly. I went into safe mode and it worked fine but once I restart springboard and reboot back to normal then the problem returned. I don't think it's a server issue at all due to it being localized to the phone itself and resolves only in safe mode. Anyone know a fix for this?

Yes this has happened to me and only safe mode will fix it until you restart.
