Default 3.0.1 or 3.1.2 ... Which Is Better?

Guys, I really need to know if upgrading to 3.1.2 is worth it. I got FW 3.0.1 on my iphone 2G. I need to know:

    1) Is 3.1.2 better than 3.0.1 in saving more battery life?

    2) Are the extra features worth upgrading?

JBing 3.1.2 is in really early stages, so i suggest staying on 3.0.1

I would recommend you to just upgrade to 3.1.2 since it's the latet firmware version, you have nothing to loose since it's an iPhone 2G and you can always downgrade back to firmware 3.0.1.

Use blackra1n to jailbreak, it's just a button click away (iPhone 3G users may have trouble with doing it in 1 click)!

If you want to unlock, you must use PwnageTool from Dev-Team Blog, blackra1n does not unlock and it will upgrade your modem firmware which will permanently lock your phone from T-mobile. As of right now PwnageTool is only supported on Mac, so unless you have access to a Mac I recommend you just stay on firmware 3.0.1.
