Default Anothe rWiFi Issue - Router IP disappears and Subnet Mask is wrong

OK, I'm running two 2G iPhones (2.2.1) that have worked flawlessly for a yr (FB and unlocked). I decide I want to upgrade to 3.0 for some of the new features and some apps that won't run on <3.0. Every since, my WiFi has been killed. I've Googled and tinkered for about 2 months now and here is what I think the issue is...

When I try to connect to my network, the Router IP address does not populate and the Subnet Mask populates with 255.255.0.0 instead of 255.255.255.0. I can change over to static IP and enter the info. Then when I switch it back to DHCP it will retain the info. But as soon as I try to access the network, the router IP will disappear and the Subnet Mask reverts back to the incorrect address.

I have done Forget This Network, Reset Network Settings, Reset Phone, restore to factory, restore to back-ups of my phone, restore to custom IPSW for 3.0 and 3.1. Restore to back-ups of my 2nd iPhone (the one on 2.2.1 and still connects to my network flawlessly). None of these has worked at all. I've also checked my 2WIRE router for updates and am current. I reset it as well just to try everything (laptop and other iPhone still connect no problems). I've also tried connecting to the network manually (entering in network name and password instead of letting it find it). Nada.

My only guess to what may have caused it is BossPref. I had it running before upgrading to 3.0 and had EDGE turned off. I don't know why, but I think having that setting in place when I upgraded hosed my WiFi.

My phone finds the network no prob and displays in the upper left corner that it is connectetd, but nothing works. I can't open Safari, Weather, Cydia, anything that requires net access.

If anyone can help me out, I'd greatly appreciate it. Like I said, I've been like this for 2 months now and I've tried everything I've read and NOTHING is working. I haven't seen anyone with my exact issue so maybe my phone is one-of-a-kind (great luck, eh?).

    Anyway, any help is appreciated.

    thx

I would restore the phone as a new phone and telling iTunes not to use the existing backups then try to setup the wifi connection right away before doing something else.

I second that. Setting up as a new phone after a restore has helped me fix weird things like that before.
