Forum Mod Request.... o_O
Could the mod's or God's of modmyi.com just remove all the search capabilities, stickys, Guides sections, etc....
It's obvious that 75% of all the posters here don't even attempt to use any of the resources already set out for them.
Or, If anyone can think of a solution....
Maybe have a redirect page for those about to post something new?
I don't know... I'm sure I'm not the only one that gets frustrated seeing the exact same question over and over and over and... (you get the idea)
And, don't even get me start on the "Help me!!!!" thread titles...

If we want people to search more, why take away the search? I know enough people dont use it, but at least some do, and that helps. Also, whether or not they re-post questions, this is a help forum, so whatever help you can give is good...

All threads from now on should automatically be titled "PLZ HELP!!!!!!!" with the # of exclamation points relative to the severity of the issue.
So long, and thanks for all the fish

Welcome to the world of the MMi forums! It is what it is.... we just have to take a deep breath and realize that we were all a noob at one point. This iPhone stuff is rather overwhelming when you first get into it with all the new vocabulary and the wealth of out dated information floating around. Even for a guru if you're outta the game for even a few weeks you can get lost quick!

Sounds like yours is stuck in an iCommunism loop. Only solution for that is years of oppression until it finally fights back.So long, and thanks for all the fish

Maybe there should be something like on StealthBravo's forum where you are required to do a little math before your post is submitted.
Maybe that would weed out a few of the not-so-bright posts.
So long, and thanks for all the fish

As most, I am numb to it really, it's not just our forum they are all the same.
Even the people that do search to find their answers still sometimes will start a "Help, Urgent" thread just to be reassured that the answers they found are indeed the correct way to cure their problem.
Frustrating, yes. If it bothers you that much, don't read it or post a reply. Being rude or flaming them is not the answer either.
Teach them the correct way and be respectful. As was stated, we were all n00bs at one time.

Thats why I have soo many posts, if I miss a day or two I dunno what Im doing
PS- I think a "treasure hunt" of sorts is in order before receiving posting privileges, send them to find different things in different forums.....mostly all the questions WE KNOW are going to be asked

But seriously...
Could there be some static sticky's that show up on every page. You know in big red letters... LOOK HERE BEFORE STARTING A NEW THREAD
And then a quick summary of the guides and explain how to search.
I don't know, I just think if most of them know how / where to look, it would help out alot.
Just a suggestion.

^We'll see what we can do....dunno if it'll help or not.
Example: I responded to a thread today dude was like "is this unlock real?" and linked to an article that was not even 2 paragraphs long from another blog.....
At the bottom of the article it stated: "EDIT: THIS IS NOW KNOWN TO BE FAKE"
The guy didnt even bother to read the actual article he was linking to and asking us if it was real.
Fail.
