is it possible that you didn't officially activate the phone, but activate it through redsn0w or pwnagetool? because in that case, I'm afraid there is nothing you can't do about it, push notifications only work well when you officially activate the phone

Yeah my phone is jailbreaked so what jailbreak users can use push notifications... i was using it working good previously... is that so that jailbreaked users cannot use push?

I was having this problem with my 3GS. My phone was jailbroken, but it was activated with my ATT SIM card. For some reason I wasn't getting PUSH notifications at all most of the time. Either way I restored as set up as a new phone. I tested PUSH to make sure it was working like it was supposed to (which it is now), and then jailbroke it after. My PUSH has been working great since. I love being able to get notifications for Beejive instantly, it's literally within 1 or 2 seconds of receiving a message.

you have to make a difference between jailbreak and hacktivation. you can activate the phone through itunes but still jailbreak it. as soon as you have a working iphone simcard you can put it in after you restored, itunes will activate it, done.
hacktivated users without such a sim card can still use push, but it doesn't work so well because everyone shares a common ID. that means you can get push messages not directed at you and sometimes your push messages can get lost. there is no workaround for that afaik
