Thats true. If someone unlocked the BB then i think he or she will be a millionaire in a day or so. I personally wouldnt mind paying for it.

I think you guys may be just reading a lil too much into those tweets...
Sounds more like oh I found an exploit... Nevermind it's not gonna work. The end.
Doesn't mean no unlock at all. There could be other exploits. Just my take though I could be wrong

I'm thinking he was just talking about ih8sn0w's "exploit" ...
The Dev Team had it for a couple months now...
I always feel sorry for the guy in the iPhone commercials. He always gets a call right in the middle of trying to do something

Here we can ask the provider to do it - $80 for the unlock or free if out of contact. Can also purchase it unlocked & out right from Apple store. Guess there are many advantages when all 4 phone companies sell the iPhone - not just 1 with a strangle hold on the product.

It's not in america... only in certain countries.. and that's where the factory unlocked iPhones come from.

EDIT: I take that back it's not required by law here.Last edited by j3wbagell; 10-18-2009 at 09:21 PM.

I didnt read anywhere on that saying there would never be an exploit for an unlock. All I read was that he found what he thought to be an exploit but it turned out to not be one. Just give it time, theres lots of people out there working on it since the Iphone is such a common item on the market now. Someone will find an exploit. There are no security systems that cannot be broken, there are just security systems that are REALLY hard to break. With some luck and time one of the groups will find it.

I think Geo needs to write on his computer right beside his post button "remember, before you send this and open your mind to a single human emotion and thought that doesn't mean anything good or bad, you're babysitting a million crybabies that'll b%%tch about you not finding the fix RIGHT NOW".

guys what are you kidding me?
the dark ages, give me a fking break.
the iphone is still very much jailbreakable. and im sure if the dev team and geohot steped up to the plate with time they could unlock it aswell. honestly tho, its not that big of a deal to spend 80 bucks to get it factory unlocked.
so i mean, quit crying. in a year or so when the 4g or w.e comes out, if ur on another network just spend the extra 80 and be free for the next 3 years , instead of crying and whineing to the dev team every time u cant update for a few weeks.
god people.

i have often wondered this, when you connect your iPhone to itunes could apple force new firm ware upon you? I mean they ultimately want all JB iphones to be not JB right? so could they make it so that every time you connect to i tunes, it automatically checks for what FW you are running and if it is not up to date could they install the new FW without your consent? i was just thinking about this yesterday, and if Apple are so against JB could they not stop you being able to JB, or is that what is happening? when they bring out a new FW have they wrote it with JB'ing in mind? I'm sure that Apple with all its $Billions could easily find a cure to their problem of people JB'ing?

Well sounds like AT&T is going to lose some money the people that just want the iphone with there carrier still have to pay for the phone = more income. Sounds like they should just let it be.
If I have helped you please hit the Thanks button.
