Tritone message sound distorted

I have a weird problem with my iphone. I have the default Tritone set as alert for new text messages. When I preview the sound in the Settings, it sounds fine, but when I get a new message, it sounds very distorted, like if the speaker was blown.

This only seems to happen with the Tritone. The other sounds play fine, which is what makes this bug even weirder.

Could someone (now experiencing this problem) please upload their Tritone (sms-received1.caf) for me? I doubt that the file itself is somehow the problem, but it's worth a shot, I guess.

happens on mine as well, i just keep the phone 4 clicks below full volume

It has nothing to do with the volume level. I have the ringer volume set at 50%, and as I said, the sound plays fine when I preview it in the Settings. When I get a new message, it just sounds distorted, not overly loud.

So I would still appreciate if someone could upload their original sms-received1.caf, so I can at least find out if my file is somehow corrupt, or if something else is the problem.
