How do emergency calls work with NO SIM?
So how do emergency calls contact if there's no SIM inside?
And does this enable you to place free calls or what?

The same way a land line phone works when it isn't plugged into a phone socket - nothing zip, nada. For the same effect plug your toaster into your lawn and enjoy nothing happening when you stuff a bagel into it. Or fly to Boston and see how their immigration doesn't work at all for non US residents.

Take your sim card out and make a call. If it works you have your answer. If it doesnt then I would assume that Robcoffee is correct
