Default Iphone won't recognize custom ringtones

32GB 3G(s) 3.1.2 jailbroken with blackrain on ATT carrier.

So I JB my phone and modified the .plist so that I can use iphonebrowser.

All my custom rigntones that I've used on every other firmware are not showing up under settings/sounds/ringtones....

Itunes recongizes them and the bar that shows how many megabytes of info each section has(audio, apps, other, free etc...) it also shows that music is on the phone. Ringtones are the only muic i currently have on my phone.

Any suggestions on how to get the phone to recognize them?

Just so no ones suggests, yes I did check sync ringtones in itunes!!

are the ringtones showing up under the ringtones section in itunes? are they under 30 seconds long?
if the answer to both questions is yes, then uncheck "sync" ringtones, sync, restart itunes, check it, sync again.

    blackwolf, thanks for the response.

yes they are showing up in itunes and all are 30 sec long.

I tried unsyncing and all like you said an no go.

The thing that I find strange is that I had these on my phone until I upgraded to 3.1.2 working just fine. After the restore and JB on 3.1.2 ringtones no worky.

you could always SSH into your phone and add them Permanently.

mh, I'm not running 3.1.2, so I can't really say if that is the problem. but like trixter said, if everything else fails just copy them to /private/var/stash/Ringtones ... they will show up under the default ringtones instead of "custom", but it will work AND the ringtones can have any length if it is done that way
