today at school, i turned off wifi for a mintue, and i dont have 3g cause i have prepaid Fido, but at the same time i had the E (edge) sign and i was getting internet perfectly, i tried going to sites in my car and there was still internet coming...with no wifi or anything...
well ... I suppose you will probably pay for it sooner or later. normally, every simcard comes with some kind of data tariff that is pretty expensive (either per KB or per minute). do you have a prepaid card or an actual contract? you might wanna check your bill at the end of the month, I guess it will be listed there.
PS: the "E" in the statusbar doesn't necessarily indicate that edge is in use. edge is only "in use" if ... welll ... you actually use it
