i just installed rock now. To test it out.
And Rock "takes" over or kinda. You will find all your cydia things on Rock.
So far as i can understand. you can use both.

You can use both, they just point to the same sources.

weird thing is, i used to have rock but my phone kept going into safe mode and i uninstalled rock and it stopped doing that and my whole phone was faster. so i just use cydia to be on the safe side
