This is Driving Me Crazy! (Caller ID Picture Size)

Hi guys. I was wondering if anyone could help me with my problem.

Every time I sync my phone, my caller ID pictures for my contacts keep reverting to the smaller "in-corner" pictures whenever I make or receive a call. I realize that if I assign the pictures to a contact on my phone itself, it will cause the larger pictures to appear, but even when I do this, every time I sync, it always reverts back to the small pictures.

Is there a way for the large pictures to just remain for good without me having to change it back after each sync? I never had this problem before until recently.

Mine used to do that too until recently. If you don't mind me asking, what are your contact sync settings? Do you sync to Google or Yahoo contacts as well?

Delete the pictures from your OUtlook or whatever client you are using on your computer, Then assign pictures on your phone to your contacts...when they sync next time they will stay huge and annoying, lol

I'm not sure exactly what my "client" is. I usually just access Gmail through my web browser. So you're saying that I should just delete my pictures on Gmail?

Check gmail then and see if your contacts have pictures assigned...

They do. I tried deleting the pictures and resyncing, but it still reverts back to the small pictures.

Mac. I have Snow Leopard installed if that helps.

Also, I noticed that my iPhone contact photos transfer over to my Google contact photos. That's never happened before until recently.

Stop using gmail to back up your contacts and try using Address Book on OSX. If you set all of your photos from your phone and then sync to Address Book, with no images for contacts in address book, then they should remain large. I have never used gmail to backup my contacts so I cannot really troubleshoot it. I also prefer my contact images as thumbnails so I set them all from address book before I sync. But doing the opposite should keep your photos large on the iphone.

Hm. I wonder if there is a way to continue syncing with Gmail. I like doing that because it keeps my email addresses up to date.

So you're saying that there's no way to sync with my Google contacts without the caller ID photos resetting after each sync? I wonder how I was able to do it before then...

No, what I was saying before is

I just personally use Address Book and have never had an issue
