i am new to this and by no means a comp genius that being said once i dl from here how do i get new theme actually on my phone and also how to get movies from cycorder onto my mac? thanks

This is actually a very complex question. If you do some digging in these forums I guaruantee you'll find your answers. Here is a guidline of what tutorials you should search for...
1. How to SSH into your iDevice.
2. How to access your themes folder through SSH (assuming you have already downloaded Winterboard through Cydia).
You can move Cycorder vids through SSH. You can also find a tutorial giving you the exact path to follow to access them and copy to your computer.
