Iphone freeze at activate screen and apple logo screen

I have an iphone 3G and it suddenly died few day ago, and got into the apple logo loop itself! So i restored it, in recovery mod and DFU mod. But after restoring, it just freezes right at the activate screen. And i restored the phone like 10 times now, still same thing. When it freeze, there is no other option other than hard reset (home+power) then it gets into apple logo loop. So the only option at that point to too restore. But then after a fresh restore it will happen again immediately!

I never update my 3G to 3.1. It was running 3.0 by the time this happen. And i was restoring it back to 3.0 fresh, not a custom one. Im using it on tmobile so i would need the unlock to remain!

Well, brought it to Apple and they replaced the screen today, and all is fine now.
