iTunes used to automatically launch whenever i connected my iPhone. but since upgrading to the latest iTunes 9 it doesn't seem to be doing this. I can't seem to figure out how to get it going. Any ideas? Please help?
Thanks

plug the iphone into your computer, in the general iphone screen in iTunes there should be a check box that says auto launch when iPhone is connected.
My parents didn't pay for my iPhone.

is it possible you deselected "automatically sync when this iphone is connected" on the iphone's main page in itunes?

Thanks fellas. i've always not had my iPhone auto sync when connected. even then it would launch automatically whenever iPhone was connected.
Just to double check, I've enabled autosync on the general itunes screen, as suggested, & it still doesn't auto launch.
Any other ideas.
Thanks

have you uninstalled itunes helper? if you are using a pc ctrl+alt+delete under the processes tab ituneshleper.exe must be ruinning if it is not there you probably disabled it in your startup programs. start run msconfig startup tab and make sure ituneshelper is checked.

i dont know the exact commands for a mac sorry but you must have iTunesHelper running. Like i said you probably disabled it in your startup programs so that your OS would load faster.
It allows iTunes to know more quickly when an ipod/iphone is connected it aids in the communicating process of your computer and your phone.
this may help LINKY

will do thanks & post here if it works
OK I've figured it out. I simply left it at autosyncing when connected, ejected the iphone & shut down. restart the macbook and bingo it autolaunches.
Thereafter, i've unchecked autosyncing (i don't like autosyncing) and it still launches but does not start syncing on its own.
Thanks a lot buddy for your help, really appreciate it.Last edited by azharnasir; 10-02-2009 at 11:02 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost
