When i send a mass text it shows up as MMS

I didnt want to upgrade to 3.1 and have to re-jailbreak so i just followed a guide to update the carrier settings and get my MMS to work which it did. I just sent out a mass text and apparently it shows up as a picture message. The second i add a second person to the text list it says GROUP MMS. What is that about and is there a fix?

yes, you need to update your carrier ipcc file.

Basically, you need to have the following in your carrier.plist

<key>GroupModeEnabled</key>
<false/>

that should be placed under
<key>MMS</key>
<dict>

the official ATT carrier file ver 5.5 has this fixed.
