Email Folders - Help Plz

greetings all

i am looking for some help with my mail settings

i run internet explorer on my PC & when i use my iphone to check my mail it only has the 3 basic folders

Inbox
Sent
Trash

how do i add a folder to my phone so that i can save some of my emails on my phone like i do on the PC

I believe you can't create folders on the iphone.
if you need folders, get an IMAP mail accoutn (for example gmail). then you can create folders on your pc and they will appear on the iphone as well

It depends on your ISP as to how you set up new folders. Everyones software is different. Who is your internet provider and do you use their email? Otherwise do as blackwolf suggested. Get Gmail or Yahpoo and forward your ISPs inbox to the Gmail/Yahoo account and set up your folders within Gmail/Yahpoo

U should be able to do it on ur ISP also. I did.

when he only has three folders he probably has a POP3 account, so that isn't possible. that's why I told him to get an IMAP account, that's the only way

thanks for that, yes its a POP3 mail account that i use

Mine is a POP3 account. I only had 3 folders. I logged into my account thru the web mail service and added more folders. I didn't add them thru the software on my computer. So I know it can be done.
