    Default MMS settings

Has someone (ATT?) posted the step by step instructions on what is needed

to inable the new MMS service on a iphone.?

    Here is what I have...

    OS version 3.1

    carrier 5.5

    itunes version 8.2

When I open a photo attempt to send a photo I see 'email photo'

    but not 'MMS'.

Is a new icon placed on my screen? How do I know
    my phone is MMS ready?

    Any ideas?

after you've updated your phone to the 5.5 settings reboot your phone and then you'll notice a little camera icon on the left in your messages.app and also the MMS send in your photos

Regarding re-booting, I tried 'reset all settings'
    and no luck.

    Is there another re-boot method?

    Thanks!

By Re-booting your phone, he means to completely shut it down using the power button located on the top of the phone.

I pushed the button on the top right, then pushed it again.

It comes back on very quickly; didn't seem to have time to re-boot.

Opps, I pressed and HELD it down, now it is shutting off the phone
    completely.

Also, can the new MMS work with an old itunes version?

    I don't want to upgrade.

(is there a easy way to get itunes but not Quick Time?)

Not quite sure what you mean by "MMS work with an old iTunes Version". In most cases, iTunes has little to absolutely no effect on your iPhone.

By Rebooting you hold the top button and the bottom button at the same time till the phone shuts off then let go and the phone will reboot
