Exchanging an iPhone with the first 30 days.....
If I were to to exchange a new iphone 3Gs within the first 30 days, would they give me a brand new one or a refurb? what is the general procedure? do they change the imei in the computer as well?

Dude, don't waste your time buying one if you can't afford to keep it

that is soooo not what he was asking..
i'll translate what he said: if he bought a "new" 3Gs phone, then went to exchange said "new" phone within the first 30 day refund/exchange period, would they replace said "new" phone with another new phone or rather, a refurb instead?
burd: i have no idea man.. someone should know

That's a bit rude of you, man.
Especially when I just showed you how to do a google search in your other thread
I know what he said. Who cares if it was new or refurb anyway? He probably couldn't tell the difference. And why is he spending $500 on a phone that he's intending to drop in the shower within a month?Last edited by redcard; 09-24-2009 at 01:55 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

i care if i buy a new phone and especially within the first 30 days I need to exchange it for whatever reason they try and give me a refurb... F that.. i'd be like, i bought a new phone and so what if that refurb looks as nice as a new one.. i bought a new phone, it doesn't work for whatever reason, it will be replaced with another new phone.
that is just my preference though.. it's the principle of it. would you be happy if your brand new something special quit working and when you took it back to hot-hands they tried to give you a refurb?
i didn't think so
and where do you get that he's intending on dropping it in the shower? wtf
