pics and vids on iphone

How do I get my pics and vids off the iPhone to my laptop (vista)? I know I could email them but is there another way?

well, you can SSH onto it and copy them to your pc that way. besides, the iphone should be detected as a camera in windows, just check in the windows explorer if it shows up. from there, you are able to copy everything off there

for some reason in the "my computer" it's not showing the iphone...but I ssh into but where in the ssh are the photo's? i found a folder named photos but no help

they should be in /private/var/mobile/Media/DCIM/
inside that, there is a 100APPLE folder I think and sometimes a 999APPLE folder. I think one is your camera roll the other one are synced photos. in any case, that's where all the stuff is.

but strange, the iphone should definetly show up as a camera ...
