Default Iphone 3G missing picture message icon...

I was trying to send a picture message on my iphone 3g, but when I go to messages there is no camera icon to the left. But on my wife's 3G it is there and she is capable of sending and receiving picture messages. Any ideas? Both phones are 3.0 firmware.

    Thanks,

    Don

for non-official carriers you have to enter the MMS data yourself. you can find them on your carriers website. a lot of MMS data can also be found if you browse to help.benm.at on your iphone (not from your computer!). just enter those information in
settings > general > network > cellular data network > MMS

after that, reboot, and the camera should appear. best thing to test MMS, just send one to yourself or your wife :-). also make sure you can receive MMS

Also, if you're on ATT theyre slowly activating MMS, therefore your wife might've gotten activated, while you're not. Theres a simple solution here.
It's only impossible if you quit.
