gray apps with white arrows???

When trying to update AppStore apps I get the following:

"this discounted price is only available to customers who own a previous version of this item"

Somehow my wife's iPhone and mine have synched apps from one anothers account, I believe causing my problem.

So I enter her iTunes account password and I get this on my springboard:


Can someone tell me what may have happened and what I need to do?

Nevermind. They went away after synching w/ iTunes. However, still getting "this discounted price is only available to customers who own a previous version of this item"

they be spring jumps.
they allow you to jump to pages on your spring board rather then you flicking through each one.
