Jailbreak on my bro's mac?

I have an iphone 2g running 3.0... If I did a full restore on my PC to 3.1, Could I then jailbreak with my brothers Mac? isn't there something about the file system being different?

Basically the only thing you cant do inbetween computers is actual syncing of music, apps, etc.
