Weird line on status bar above battery

okay well i jailbroke and unlocked my iphone 2g with t mobile using these softwares and everythings working fine. however, there is this weird bar above my battery icon in the status bar. this bar is getting longer and longer every day. at the present, it stretches from the right edge of my phones status bar to the time in the middle of the status bar. HELP?? D:

does this bar appear on screenshots (to make a screenshot, press power and home together)? if not, it's probably a hardware problem with your screen. if it appears, please post the screenshot.

It doesn't show up on screenshots.
I'm sticking with the fact that it's hardware

Yup sounds like an LCD issue. So sad, to fix you have to replace the entire screen assembly...the part alone will run you around $130.

seriously, if it doesn't show up on screenies, it's a hardware problem, that's for sure.

if you don't have any warranty left you're in trouble
