ZOMG I have to restore my 3GS... now what?!

As you all know firmware 3.1 is not unlockable or jailbroken yet. In the event you mess your phone up and get the spinning wheel of death or won't boot past the Apple logo or whatever your issue may be you have one saving grace. Even though Apple is not signing 3.0 firmware anymore for 3GS users you can still use a pwned custom 3.0 ipsw file to restore. As MuscleNerd has graciously reminded us [Twitter] "Once JB.. always JB even without signed files." This means as long as you NEVER restore to an Apple stock firmware you should be good to go. The only people that have to worry at the moment are potential 3GS owners who may buy their phone already updated to 3.1.

So what happends to people that had to update or restore there 3gs or when purchasing 3gs with preloaded 3.1?!? my 3gs is soooooo nAked and boring now with 3.1

are you saying as long as I'm on JB/unlocked 3.0 I can restore to stock 3.0 via itunes?
I'd really like to know since my phone isn't booting since ... well, pretty much since apple stopped signing 3.0 (... of couse ... murphy's law and stuff)
