Did you restore from backup? Restore (to 3.0 or 3.0.1) and set up as new.

Yes. But after the restore iTunes gives you two options.
To restore from Backup of ____'s phone or to set up as new.
Which did you choose?I always feel sorry for the guy in the iPhone commercials. He always gets a call right in the middle of trying to do something

Yeah.. that's probably the reason.
Restoring from backups on big firmware releases/jumps almost always cause battery drainage and many other problems.
Restoring and setting up as new should fix the problem if you're willing to lose the data.I always feel sorry for the guy in the iPhone commercials. He always gets a call right in the middle of trying to do something

Okay. Make sure you shift+click restore & select 3.0/3.0.1 instead of actually restoring since that'll put you in 3.1 which you don't want to be.
