Upgraded Cydia, now new icons?

So I went into cydia today and did an upgrade essential. Now my phone and email icons permanently have a loading icon in the bottom left corner. When I close any other app and the springboard shows, that app has the loading icon in the bottom left for a split second and disappears. Anyone know why this is happening and how I can get rid of this? Ive tried several reboots already.

Info on my phone:
iphone 2g
OS 3.0

Nevermind, it turns out I also upgraded backgrounder at the same time and it adds a badge to the apps running in the background

That is backgrounder. Go into Cydia and download Clear Backgrounder Badge. Enable it in winterboard and they will disappear. It just means that those are running in the background.

Or you can open up the Backgrounder app, go to Global there you will be able to turn off the badges.
