The dumbest thing, as yet, that I have done to my iphone is a complete fresh install of 3.0 (twice), not from a backup and then the relevant jailbreak and cydia installs to attempt to fix a random sound problem...the problem being I had no bloody sound! The speakers were working (tested many times by listening to different ringtones etc.) but whenever I received a call or message etc I had no sound...I was desperate and even considered going into apple to get the geeks to check out the phone. My 10 year old cousin then came to visit and asked me why my fone was on silent and switched the slider on again (the wee little stupid slider thingee on the side - you know the one)...yeah needless to say I am still stinging about that one. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool!

Made me laugh....

Although the other day I was happily walking around the local town listening to music when I decided to pop into the local library. Turned off my iPhone & removed the ear plugs as I walked in. On my exit I turned the iPhone back on and then spent the next 5 minutes panicking because I couldn't hear any music! I was getting seriously stressed!

And yes, you guessed it - I didn't have the ear plugs back in! Tw@t!!!

You are not alone, I have helped countless members posting "No Volume" No Sound" problems and find out that the volume rocker was turned down.

It's alright, I've helped a good number of people complaining that their phone was "bricked" where 1/2 of them the phone was just off and the other 1/2 the phone ran out of batteries.
