Iphone 3GS - data network problem

Hi all...

I have a big problem with my Iphone. I simply cannot connect to internet using 3G or EDGE.
When i try to connect(without using WiFi) i get a message "..it is not connected to the internet"?!

But, when i tried restore via Itunes, and set up my Iphone as new...everything work fine, i can connect via 3G and EDGE..
But then i restored my backup, and the problem is there again...
Can u help me?

P.S. I dont know if it can help u, but i did install a fake apn profile using the web page unlock.nz( think that is the name)... Did that somehow blocked my Iphone from using 3G and EDGE?

Yes that's exactly your problem. APN settings are what allow you to connect to the internet over the cell tower. You need to do a Reset Network Settings and you should be fine. Don't mess with your APN stuff.

As Poseidon79 says: yr APN settings are messed up.
The problem reoccures due to stored fauly settings in yr backup. There are 2 solutions to this;

1 - Do NOT use yr backup.
2 - If you need yr backup - change the APN

To fix the APN. Follow advice on my thread here; How do i completely disable DATA on my iphone?

BUT!!! - use;
APN: wap.cingular
Username: [email protected]
Password: CINGULAR1

There is also a Cydia app "APN Settings" - but, I would deinstall it after you are through with it (to avoid someone changing the settings)
