Does MMS use your data?
I was told by a few people at rogers stores (canada) that i can do MMS and it will use my data. Do i need to get a specific MMS plan?

well, no, mms are sent seperatly, at least here in germany.
I have unlimited data, free text messages but still pay 40 cents per mms.

I believe it varies - In Europe it is standard practice for MMS to be charged seperatly. I have a data plan and a plan that covers voice/SMS/MMS but O2 here in the UK take one MMS=4 SMS from your plan.
Although MMS does use data it uses a seperaet MMSC so is usually charged separately - but that does not mean they have too. Best ask your carrier. He who asks a question looks foolish for 5 minutes. He who doesn't ask a question remains foolish forever.
