Why is it taking so long to backup???
It usually takes less than 10sec, but now it has taken almost 20min for the progress bar to go the width of my mouse. WTF?
Why is it going so slow?

I've had it take 15 minutes before and that is not unusual.

Have you added any movies to an iPhone app recently. These take a long time to backup the first time.

I haven't done anything other than download some news apps. Even the first time i plugged it into my computer it only took a few seconds to back up, and that was with like 15 new apps.

Anything you add to the phone- pics, apps, videos etc gets backed up. So by removing photos and videos from the device and syncing them over, you make the backup less.
And it will be like a taco inside a taco within a Taco Bell that's inside a KFC that's within a mall that's inside your dream! Springboard screwy after reboot? Here is the fix

Not true. Apps, contacts, etc. don't get "backed up", they get synced.
SMS convos, call logs, settings, game saves, etc. get backed up.
If you have a lot of new SMSs or calls, or game saves, etc. it'll take a while to backup.I always feel sorry for the guy in the iPhone commercials. He always gets a call right in the middle of trying to do something

Apps don't get backed up, neither do music, videos, podcasts, etc.
App DATA gets backed up, but not the app itselfI always feel sorry for the guy in the iPhone commercials. He always gets a call right in the middle of trying to do something
