Sms ringtone

Hi i know this has been a disscused topic over and over but i was wondering has anyone come up with a way to give a different sms ringtone to different contacts basically the same way you would with a regular ringtone only sms

I don't think this exists. the iphone has very poor ringtone support, and extremly poor sms tone support. I'm still wondering why ... it seems like a really unnecessary limitation.
