Recovery 3G Restore
Just tried restoring the iPhone through iTunes so i can restore to original settings to check my batt issues as per the other threads and its restore but my app settings are not in the settings box and the carrier logos dont go back to std nor does the time in the middle.. still carries the MMi settings..
also the blank icons are still there which i know i can delete but i want it back to ow it was before i jailbreak in case i have to take it to the apple shop to replace...
can anyone assist?

It sounds like you restored from a backup. Restore and set it up as a new phone.

I always feel sorry for the guy in the iPhone commercials. He always gets a call right in the middle of trying to do something
