Change Default iPhone Keyboard to Swype/Shapewriter
Hello - I'm a huge fan of shapewriter and I'm interested in finding a way to replace the keyboard in all apps with the swype keyboard that shapewriter uses.
My phone is jailbroken of course ... but I'm not a programmer, so I'm looking for ideas on how to complete this and I'd like to team up with a developer who's published through Cydia to create something. I know many others would be interested in this once they've tried it.
Here's more info about Swype and Shapewriter if you don't know what it is:
Move over T9, here comes Swype
Thanks!

No response thus far ... as an update, Shapewriter is now working on an iPhone developer SDK to utilize their keyboard in official apps. I'm interested in creating a Cydia app that replaces the iphone UI keyboard with the Shapewriter keybaord. Anyone out there experienced in developing Cydia apps that is interested in collaborating?

Hi,
I'd also be very interested in this, I've become seriously addicted to using ShapeWriter and having to cut/paste into other apps, frankly, sucks.
Thanks,
cg

I would love this too. I really hope either Swype, Shapewriter or Apple are listening. Because we are missing out without this keyboard...
Most people prob think it would suck by reading a description of this app. But I used it on my friends HTC touch2 and its amazing. It just knows what you are typing...
Simply AMAZING!

Shape writer..
If you go to apptrackr, you'll get ShapeWriter Pro 2.1, the latest is 3.2..
This app will more or less work similarly.

I used an Android OS phone for a few weeks while my iPhone was getting replaced. Swype almost made me want to switch phones. It's so much easier!

i've used swype on a nexus and slideit on a nokia 5800. best app if you type on your keyboard , especially for sms.
i just recently switched from my nokia 5800 to 3gs and i really do miss the ease of typing without keying every letter....
this is a must have for iphone...
