Total Noobie in Distress!
Well hi;
I've modded all my moto phones and I have an iPhone which I wanna Mod also... my iphone is unlocked and has the 1.0.2 firmware.. i really want to install the installer app from my iphone using Edge bu the site is closed by apple aparently...wat can i do??? i still want to install the installer....help me please

1.0.2 firmware? has your iphone been locked in a closet for a year?
upgrade it to 3.0, jailbreak it, use Cydia (better than installer)

Welcome to MMi! 1.0.2 is an old firmware. You need to upgrade to 3.0 and use redsnow to jailbreak and unlock your phone.

The installer app is gone, Rip-Dev has stopped supporting it. Cydia is the preferred method now.
As posted above, upgrade iTunes to at least 8.2 then restore your phone to 3.0. Run redsn0w jailbreak/unlock. Here is a link that will help you with the jailbreak. Good luck and enjoy 3.0
