Iphone 3gs help

I can't find out how to open ipod controls because i know there is one to open music but sometimes I'm using an app and I want to change the song but I don't want to press home twice for it to take me to my songs because that just exits me from the app. I know on my ipod touch I could just press home twice then change songs or edit volume from there. Anyone know how to do it on the Iphone 3gs?

Douple tapping opens music controls for me on my iPhone 2g, I don't think they changed it for the 3gs.. are you sure you are doing it fast enough?

Go in to settings and you can choose what you want the double tap the home button to do. I think it defaults to opening your phone favorites, but you can set it to bring up the music controls.

wow nevermind i just checked cydia and someone released ipodpop and it does exactly but i asked for but thanks anyways
