teathering help

I'm having problems with my teathering on my iPhone 3g. I have downloaded the apn changer and it works fine for an hour or so then the phone starts to loose connection. it will lose connection to iTunes but still show that the phone is plugged in and the battery is charging. and also every so offer the phone shuts itself off and reboots. oh I have 3.0.1. and no jailbreak. any help please.

have you tried restoring? sometimes that works. and do you have a good signal?

thxs for the help i restored the phone redownloaded itunes and bought a new apple dock cord bc mine was worn, and all seems to work great. appriciate the help
