hey, I jailbreaked my iphone mostly cause my itunes won't let me create any ringtones at all, always comes up with unknown error windows.
so stuff apple if they can't code it properly I'll try other ways.

so yeah cydia doesn't seem to have a means of creating my own ones, none of the music I want as a ringtone is in their lists.

was after the red dwarf theme to be honest, so does anyone know of an app that will just let me select whatever is in my playlist and send that over to the ringtones?

btw, just as a side note: if you are familiar with copying things to the iphone over ssh (and if you are not, there are tons of tutorials out there) then you can even make unlimited length ringtones.
just follow the tutorial that was posted, but make the AAC-File as long as you want, rename it to .m4r and then copy it to /private/var/stash/Ringtones.XXX/ on your iphone :-)
