iPhone Internet Tethering
I was talking to someone the other day on one of the horrible phone shops about Internet Tethering.
I was wondering if any of you knowledgeable peeps would know the answer to this question:
With exception to sites designed for the iPhone (such as facebook, gmail) - When websites are viewed on the iPhone, are they the original sites as would be displayed on a computer or are they mobile sites optimized for a device such as the iPhone.
Thanks in advance
Edit:
By original sites, i mean in terms of size. If I visit apple.com on an iPhone would the completed front page use the same bandwidth OTA as it would over ADSL/cable on a computerLast edited by ScottishDan; 08-05-2009 at 03:13 PM. Reason: Additional info

The iPhone displays the "normal desktop" site unless there is a redirect to a mobile or iPhone optimized site. And yes, standard sites use the same bandwidth as a desktop would. You can disable images form being displayed in iPhone's Safari through an app in Cydia.
Until the next time… And if I help you out, give me a "Thanks!" Thanks!
