Safari a memory hog??

Safari seems to eat up a lot of memory on my jailbroken 3G. I use memtool to check processes and to see how much memory is left and it looks like Safari is using upwards of 30MB most of the time. Sometimes I can't surf past 2 or 3 websites before safari will just close on me. any tips?

Safari is a memory hog, but theres alot of stuff that could be causing it to close (low memory but alot of things that could be contributing to that). Best thing to do is restore/ start fresh.

yeah I've done that a few times but it doesn't seem to help.
