Default app for SMS timestamp for every text???

is there such thing out there?

i had a blackberry before i got my iphone and the BB told you the exact time and date of every text. since the iphone doesn't do that i have missed that feature.

is there some type of file mod or app to download to get this feature?

EDIT: oh and i did search for this, but only got threads of people having issues with the wrong timestamps...

I know biteSMS has this feature if you tap and hold on a text.

i dont believe its on every message. i was just looking at my iphone and there are cases where i sent a txt and i got a response within 5 mins or so and there is only the timestamp for the 1st message.

i have other cases where i txt someone and then they respond lets say 30 minutes later and i'll have a timestamp on both of the messages.

so its not every message that gets a timestamp. not sure if thats what the op is wanting

what im looking for is an add on or a toggle or something that forces the phone to put a time stamp with ever sent and received text message.

anyone know of anything to do to get this feature and still keep the default SMS app?

    EDIT: also, I am using a 3GS JB using Redsn0w 3.0 fw

    Default BiteSMS

Download the app BiteSMS this allows you to see the timestamps per message by pressing down on the message bubble.
