iPhone 3GS Upgraded LCD Since Launch?

I got myself a 16gb 3GS on launch day and have been happy with it since.

My father today bought a 32gb 3GS and i've been jailbreaking it + loading all his custom sounds n themes n bits all night.

Just finished and opened the compass app to see if the 2 aligned correctly next to eachother and found that the wood grain on the new 32GB is MUCH cleaer than my 16GB.

Ive set both screens to full brightness with auto brightness off and there is a real difference between the 2.

In the bottom left the wood grain is darker. On my 16GB its practically black looking, but on the new 32gb you can make the tiny lighter wood grain out allot easier.

It's not really noticeable with average use but if the newer 3GS' have better LCD screens i want some of that. I have paid the same amount of money as everyone else so why should i have an inferior LCD screen?!

I've tried to take some pictures but they really do not do the problem justice but you can see it a distinct difference.
