too little ram on your iphone? mine too!! what should we do?
hi guys
well i think we all know what I'm talking about.. i'll give you an example: i use safari to look around facebook (the real one, not the mobile version where i cant see almost nothing) and then i try to open an instant messenger app (lets say the app has a name really alike the function of the program and a +) and when it finishes starting it crashes and unless i open sbsettings and kill the safari progress it will keep crashing
so the question is: can we upgrade the amount of ram? cuase im getting a bit tired of it

No you cant. Not without replacing the entire mainboard.
Or...buy a 3GS, mine runs at an average 125 free MB ram and never crashes.

^Lol. Im very happy with the 256mb the 3GS has.
The processor would have to upgraded quite a bit for the hardware to need anymore ram than that, it would just be overkill.

^ What if you wanted to have 6 music apps running in the background while you were playing 2 games in the background while surfing the net?

Unless you get below 30 or 40MB would I start to worry. I have a TON of stuff loaded on my 3GS and I get down to 70-80MB when i'm running several things at once. At rest it's about 110.

^^You can use SBsettings to check running processes and close them

Lemme clarify "overkill"
I meant more than 256mb of Ram would be overkill for a 600mhz processor
