How can you tell if this is a Stolen iPhone 3G Pls Help?
Hi I just bought an iPhone 3G a month ago on craiglist, but there is some problem now, so I want to bring it back to apple but am afraid this is a stolen item, is there a way that I can tell?

Go here. You will need the phones imei number by typing in *#06#.

Is that site certified? A lot of sites like that collect these IMEI numbers for other uses.

I don't use any of them just for the reason I have stated. When I was on sprint I could call in the IMEI, never tried it on ATT, but I remember when the iPhone first came out someone said ATT refused to log or give information on stolen phones. Basically what has happened is the most stubborn phone company has teamed up with the most stubborn computer company. Yay...........
