Sms & mms getting mixed up!

I'm on 3.0 & the problem i'm facing is that with MMS turned on (the small camera shows up in the apple message writing window), when I type a simple message addressed to multiple contacts it starts sending it out as an MMS and says as such on the top.

Now the problem is that my MMS is not properly configured and so it won't send. Besides, even if it did send it should not send as MMS (maybe more expensive) .

So why is my iPhone 3G treating a simple SMS as MMS.

p.s in order to send an SMS to multiple contacts, i've had to disable MMS from >Settings>Messaging and then send & it works.

Im in the same exact boat as you. I just disabled mms since it doesnt really work anyways

I'm on 3.0 (3g on tmobile via redsn0w & ultrasn0w)... I have the exact same problem as you.
I'm surprised no one else has posted about this...
