Automatic time option disappeared in unlocked iphones

Im having a problem about the automatic time updating. I still have the time Set Automatic option on my AT&T 3GS, under Date & Time. But on my brother's 3G and my sister's 2G on T-mobile, they dont have that option anymore.. Is there anyway to get the iPhone to automatic update time to the current local time zone? Btw, my bro's 3G and my sister's 2G are on 3.0, unlocked and hacktivated, and using ultrasn0w!

Thanks

No one has this problem?

Same problem

I'm having the same problem. No auto time zone available on my 3GS on US T-MO. It is annoying!

I'm using internet2.voicestream.com for my carier APN if that matters.

Anybody know anything?

how the date & time is displayed in settings is based whats in the Date & Time.plist in Preferemces.app

see if your siblings' plist file matches yours.

I checked it, my 3gs date&time (att) plist is exactly the same with my sister's 2g unlocked date&time (tmobile) plist... In her plist, it has a value SET AUTOMATICALLY but it didnt show up in the date time setting..

I have the same issue as well (posted earlier before I saw this thread.) I just came back to the iPhone this week after not using it since December of last year. I don't remember if this issue was going on back then or if it's something that is happening with 3.0 firmware on unlocked phones.

I do have an AT&T account though, if I put my AT&T SIM in the unlocked phone the setting returns, if I remove it and put my T-Mobile SIM in it disappears again. Apparently it's carrier dependant now...I would assume?

Is there a way to modify the carrier settings file for T-Mobile to enable the automatic time set?

I know T-Mo does support this feature on their network.

My iPhone has 3.1.2 Firmware. The problem is with "setting Time & Date". Every time I set the time manually after a while it changes and goes 1 hour ahead. In the manual it asks to go to SETTINGS>GENERAL>DATE & TIME> and then TURN OFF/ON Auto Update. But in my phone there is no such option.

Is it due to jailbreaking that this AUTO UPDATE option has just vanished?!
Thanks
