AT&T Navigator and Pandora

So I just decided to try the AT&T Navigator with my jailbroken iphone 3G 3.0. I know playing music at the same time is a tricky thing. In order to get it play with the ipod I have to enable backgrounding. But I am wondering if there is a work around to get the navigator to still speak it's directions while listening to Pandora (an app I use far more often). So far nothing I have done will get Navigator to speak if Pandora is playing. Thanks.
